Our fan and blower racks are designed to provide cabinets with sufficient air for the cooling of their components. Typically Ashland tubeaxial fans are used in applications where high air flows at low pressure and low noise are required. Ashland centrifugal blowers are used in cabinet racks when the application demands higher pressures to cool more densely propagated electronic components. Both Ashland tubeaxial fans and centrifugal blowers used in the racks are manufactured to close tolerances with their rotating components balanced to provide longer bearing life with minimum noise and vibration.
Our heat exchangers are designed to transfer internal cabinet heat to the outside atmosphere by a combination of conduction and forced convection. The transfer of heat is aided by Ashland tubeaxial fans which blow across dense internal and external heatsinks to increase the effectiveness of the heat transfer process. This design allows the cabinet to shed its unwanted internal heat while remaining hermetically sealed protecting the electronic components. The tubeaxial fans used in the heatsinks are manufactured to close tolerances with their rotating components balanced to provide longer bearing life with minimum noise and vibration.
